The 16" Straight Bar is made from 3/4" round cold rolled steel and Nickle plated to prevent rust. The bar is drilled to accept 1/4" square and smaller cutting bars and accessories like the Hunter #2 Assembly.
Many turners buy an extra bar to keep favorite cutters mounted and exchange the bars when they switch. Others might need an extra because they lost the first one in their shavings pile...
This 3/4" bar will also work in other 3/4" hollowing systems on the market. Because most other systems only use 3/16" cutters the Elbo 2 Cutter Bar, with its 1/4" capacity, allows you to mount a larger cutter for more aggressive hollowing.
